Section V HS Hockey Players Score in All-Star Game

Spencerport’s Matt Corey and Gates Chili’s Jake Mattiole each scored a goal during the Junior All-Star game in Rochester, NY this past weekend. While the Rochester All-Stars fell in the game to Buffalo 7-2, Corey and Mattiole both relished their time playing in the game, and have high hopes to play for the Bowman Cup next season. Corey and the Spencerport Rangers began struggling this year before going on a run that would have them seeded in the middle of the bracket. As someone who covered Spencerport this year, they will have a strong core of players returning, but will be losing one of the best goalies in Section V in Tyler Fess. They will be an interesting team to watch moving forward.
